First real stroller ride

Just look at this big boy. Today I decided to put Anthony in his stroller and cruise the neighborhood. It was such a nice day. Usually I have him in his car seat which locks into the stroller but today I thought I would try him in the stroller - sitting like a big boy. He enjoyed the walk. Finally getting to see where he is going. Instead of looking at me the entire time. Here we are before our outing.

Wow, look I can kick my feet up.

For those of you who don't see Anthony - he loves to chew on cloth diapers. Always has one in his mouth. Here we are chewing.....

Trying to get his attention.....

Still trying to get a smile and for him to drop the rag....

Success...

Tony took him for his 6 month check-up last week and he received an A+ on his report. He has not gained as much weight as I thought but he also has not eaten that much in the last 2 weeks because he was sick and ear infection. He weighs 16.6 pounds and is 27.3" tall!!! Right now he is in the 90% for height and 25% for weight. Tall and skinny. Well, I don't know about the skinny part look at those cheeks and legs!
Have a great week! We go back to the allergist this week for a recheck of his skin.

Diapers!!

It is official - I just had to buy my first, yes, FIRST, bag of diapers. Anthony is 6 months old!! I just want to thank Mischele again for putting together such a great shower for me last year and for doing the diaper lottery! I could not believe how many diapers I received. I would like to thank everyone again for all their generosity!

We have been extremely blessed!!

Animals

We stay very busy around here now that I am back working. My job is going good - slow right now until I get a portfolio of loans. Dixie and Ruger are doing good. Ruger drives us crazy sometimes - ok most of the time! In the morning he thinks that we should get right up and feed him before we do anything else and if we don't he runs through the house like a mad man - dashing here - dashing there. Dixie lays around most of the time - eats and sleeps!
Right now as I am trying to update the blog Ruger thinks he should be in my lap or laying on the computer keys!! Then trying to play with the strap on the camera as I take a picture. He hasn't had any more urinary problems - we have him on a special food.
Time to get Anthony's bottle ready and put him to bed. I hope next week is better for him!
Have a great week!

Ear Infection

We have had a rough week!! Anthony did not sleep at all Wednesday night - no fever just didn't feel really good. Thursday morning we got up and he seemed to be feeling better - laughing, etc. Tony dropped him off at daycare and went back around 11:00 to check on him and he was doing fine. About an hour later the daycare calls and says he is running a fever. Tony picks him up and keeps him for the afternoon. Even Friday he was doing ok - a little fever every now and then but then Friday night - could not keep his fever down and he would not eat. Now we know he doesn't feel good!!!

I took him to the pediatrician this morning and Anthony has an ear infection! He was coughing and sniffling early in the week but no fever. The doctor say that is probably what made his ears get stopped up and now the cause of the fever! I started him on some medicine and he seems to be doing a little better tonight. Still not eating really good - I hope he gets over this fast. I had ear aches as a child and I remember how bad they made me feel.

Anthony tries to copy what I do - sticking his tongue out, pucker his lips, etc. He just mastered this noise on the video.

Mississippi State Fan

Anthony looks so much better. I took him this morning for an allergy test - hopefully it will tell us something. The allergist has him on some hydrocortisone cream now - which has made 100% improvement. We also started him on a liquid med - to help as well - just started him on that. She wanted to check with the Nephrologist before we started it because the medicine does filter through the kidney. But Dr. Quan gave the go ahead. He slept much better last night - I think he is finally not itching or at least not as much. Before he would just lay on his back and rub side to side like he was scratching his back and he would rub his eyes.

Here we are playing today after having his blood drawn in his Mississippi State outfit. Thanks Kevin, Wendy and Jackson for the outfit! We needed something with Mississippi State on it!

Anthony has started reaching out for objects! He is reaching for the camera now. But at night Tony and Anthony fight over the remote control -Anthony grabs it and changes the channel then Tony has to change it back! Too funny.

I took these Sunday night - Anthony went to sleep in Tony's arms after he finished his bottle.

Could not resist taking a few pictures - thank goodness the flash didn't wake him up!

Anthony is just about to roll over. In fact he did one day last week but hasn't done it since then. However, today when I put him down for a nap - when he woke up -he was facing the other direction - he has done that a couple of times now. I always look at him and say now how
did you get turned around that way and he just laughs!

As I mentioned in one of the blogs - I am back to work now. I am working for a community bank -Northstar Bank of Texas, doing the same thing I did in Florida - commercial lending. I have been there 2 weeks now so haven't done alot yet - getting set up on the computer system, meeting customers, etc. etc.

Tony is doing good - staying really busy - it is breeding season for the horses. Tony takes Anthony to daycare in the morning and I pick him up after work. He is doing pretty good. He hasn't been eating as much for them or us for that matter - but I believe it's because his skin has been bothering him. Today he has finished all of his bottles!

Lots to tell since I updated last. Anthony has found his feet! Oh my, he wants to hold on to his feet all the time now. Well I guess that's everything I needed to update everyone on - at least for now. Take care and I hope everyone had a great Valentine's Day!

Anthony's Skin

Sorry for the lack of updates - could not access the internet. Anthony has been fighting Eczema all over his body - not real cute! Anyway, Tony took him to an Allergist on Tuesday and she gave us a list of instructions to go by as well as some stronger meds to put on him. We started that night and the next morning he was looking better already. He really looks good today - I am going to take him Monday it get an allergy test.

Will put some updated photos on soon! Have a great Valentine's Day!

Anthony's Baptism 1-31-09

Anthony was Baptised on Saturday. It was so nice and Anthony did so good. He didn't even cry when the priest poured the water on him. Here are a few pictures:

Thanks to Cal and Debbie Sanders for the precious outfit that Anthony wore.
Thanks to Nan, Melissa, Justin, and Jarrett for setting up the Parish Hall and to Doc and Teresa for providing the food for everyone after the Baptism.

A big thank you to all of our family and friends that were able to attend and for those that were there in spirit.
