I'm Back Online!!

I'm back to computer land! I forgot how much I use the Internet! I am up and running now with lots of updates. I am going back to work... I start on Monday! Found a place for Anthony to stay during the day; we have moved, and Anthony is going to be Christened this weekend in Camden!

WOW!! Also, Anthony has had a little cold this past week and his face was really irritated and had to take him to the doctor! Oh my!!

My parents came and helped us get settled into the new place. What a big help they were...THANK YOU!

This past weekend our friends from Starkville, MS came to Texas to pick up a horse that a farm was donating to the Vet School. Kevin graduated from Veterinary School with Tony. We enjoyed visiting with Kevin, Wendy and Jackson. Jackson danced and talked to Anthony and he just laughed so big.

Here are some pictures taken over the past two weeks!

Tony and Anthony watching TV together.
The cat too!

Playing in his horse bouncer from Papaw Doc and Mamaw Teresa.

Gamma K and Pappy's visit! Look at the camo boots.

Did not get a lot of pictures with Pappy and Gamma K...too busy unpacking.

How sweet...you can see his face is so red and it got worse - so I took him to the doctor and it has almost cleared up.

Laughing at Pappy.

Jackson and Dixie. What a great dog!

Anthony in his bouncer watching Jackson. Check out the video at the bottom. So funny.

Jackson was putting on a show for Anthony.

Jackson loved Anthony Shark towel.

That is a handful.

What a good looking bunch of guys!

All eyes on Jackson!

Me, Anthony, and Ruger after cleaning up the old house Sunday afternoon. This cat only sits in my lap when I have Anthony.

Tony and Anthony Laughing!

Here is Anthony riding on his horse. Sorry I guess I filmed this sideways and can't change the view...still cute to watch.

Moving

We are in the process of moving into a different house. The house we were renting was only a 2 bedroom, but needed something fast to move our stuff into after we sold our house in Florida. We are moving into our friends house who has bought a house on 10 acres. It is closer to Tony's clinic and has more bedrooms - so we can have a place for our company to stay. So the blog site my not be updated until I get my computer up and running at the new place. Hopefully, real soon.

Anthony's Check-up

We received a great report! Anthony's blood levels are great! His creatinine has gone down even more. There is only one level that is a little low - His TCO2 level is on the low side and if it continues to be low (will check it again in 6 months) then we will have to add some bicarbonate to his formula but the doctor said that was real easy to manage. This just means that his kidney it's not able to balance all of the acid, but that the kidney itself is working great!!!

We are so relieved.

On the ultrasound, the ultrasonographer thought he found a kidney stone. The Nephrologist doesn't believe it. He says that in small babies it's usually a fat pocket and in his 20 years of practice he has only seen one baby this young actually have a stone and that baby had metabolic problems, which is the cause of kidney stones in babies. So he feels very strong that with the way Anthony is growing and how healthy he looks, happy, etc. etc. that it is just fat. We will do a repeat ultrasound in 6 months to recheck and/or if his condition changes then we would bring him back in before then!!

Such a miracle!! We are so blessed.

Standing Tall

Anthony loves to stand up!!

Tony took this picture of him a couple of days ago. Anthony had just finished a bottle and Tony said look at that big belly!! Anthony said...whatcha talking about Daddy.

Napping
Napping again! He hasn't felt really good this week after his vaccinations.
Last night we were just sitting around and I happen to look down at Dixie and see her sound asleep with the stuffed horse that my mom gave her for Christmas.

How sweet. If you look you can see that Dixie has pulled almost all of the stuffing out. The squeaker was out Christmas Day.
Oh, and the horses tall is gone as well.
We go to the doctor tomorrow afternoon and hope we get a great report.
I received an email from a really good friend of mine in Starkville, MS today. She has lost 3 family members since July of last year and it really puts things into perspective. Life is so precious!! Ranae, I will be praying for your family.

Rough Week

This has been a rough week for Anthony and it's only Tuesday. Yesterday, Tony and I had to take Anthony for an ultrasound of his kidney and to the lab to have some blood work done for our visit with the Nephrologist this coming Friday.

Today, I had to take Anthony to the Pediatrician for his 4 month check-up and vaccinations. OUCH!!!

Thank goodness we get a break tomorrow and Thursday before going to see Dr. Quan on Friday.

Anthony is resting now after getting 4 shots! He got a really good report card - A+. He weighs 15 1/2 pounds and is 25.5 inches long now!

Happy New Year

Happy Birthday Dixie!

Hope everyone had a great night. Tony, Anthony, and I stayed up until 11:00! I am finally feeling better. Thought I would never get to feeling better.

Today is Dixie's 13th Birthday!! We took her for a nice joy ride in the truck today... she loves to go for a ride. Tony has to pick her up now and put her in the truck but once she is there she is so happy.

To view all the pictures and events from 2008 click on the 2008 Blog Archive to the right. See how much Anthony has grown since he was born. It's so amazing and fun to look back and it's only been 4 months!

Christmas in Osceola

We had a great Christmas. We left Tuesday night and drove through the night.. Anthony slept the entire way! We arrived at my parents house around 3:30 in the morning.

We spent Christmas Eve visiting several friends of the family and attended Church that night. Christmas morning the family arrived, lots of food and tons of presents were opened. Here are some pictures of our week.

Of course everyone loved getting to see Anthony for the first time.

We drove to Wilson to visit Gamma K, Linda, and Denise at my mothers store.

Phil, Melissa and Sydni came over from Jonesboro to visit with us Friday morning.

My brother Jim and Anthony

Friday night several of my parents friends came by to visit

I went to bed early, then woke up sick as a dog. Still not over it....now I'm afraid Anthony is trying to get it!! I have a wonderful husband that has been taking good care of both of us.
Hope everyone had a great Christmas.
I received an email from a good friend of mine that said something like this... it's not about the gifts we receive but the time spent with family and friends that really matters. It's true. When we sit around and visit with family and friends we don't remember the gifts but we do remember the good and bad times together. (Although I still remember when I got a moped and my brother wanted to drive it around and wrecked it within the hour - now it's funny to laugh about it). So as the year comes to a close lets remember how blessed we are and not to take anything or anyone for granted.
Have a Happy and Safe New Year.
