Videos

Here are some videos from the past couple of weeks. We had a few days of really nice weather and went to the park but now more cold and wet weather!!

One weekend Tony and I took Anthony to this place that is full of Bounce Houses. He had a great time. It took a while for him to work his way up to the top of this one - but once he figured it out it was on!!

This bouncy slide had palm trees in the middle and he always ducked his head to run under them. I think because they were moving and he really didn't understand why.

I remember how hard it was to learn how to ride - we worked on this last week when it was warmer outside. He was ok as long as I got him going if he stopped then I had to help start him up again. This was his first time to pedal on him own.

Playing in his sandbox's and wanted to dig with his back hoe!!

Dixie's having a hard time getting up and around even more now just trying to keep her as comfortable as possible please pray for us as we deal with a decision we are going to have to make. For those that understand how close you get to your pets it's so hard and we don't want her to be in pain. Tony gave Dixie to me as a Valentine's gift in 1996 so we have been blessed to have her in our life as long as we have!

2 year Molars

Anthony's 2 year molars are coming in and he has had his hand in his mouth rubbing those gums. He didn't really have any problems with any of his other teeth coming in but you can tell his mouth must hurt and he has slowed down on his eating a lot. Hopefully they will come in fast!

Anthony listens to everything we say - even if he is in the den and Tony and I are in the kitchen cooking and talking -he will repeat some of the things that we are talking about. He is really turning into a boy. And when I say boy I mean ALL BOY!!! WOW, he plays so rough and expects everyone else to play as well. He loves to wrestle and has some karate moves. It's cute but the problem is that he doesn't know how to bring it down a notch when it's time. Especially playing with the girls. Tony and I have been really working with him to get him to listen more(sometimes with timeout and other times spanking) He can be really hard headed! (That's what my nanny always said about me and my brother-ha). I guess I'm paying for my raising.

We are trying to get Anthony interested in the potty chair - he could care less!! Well, I guess it will come in time - I hope.

SNOW!!!

Watching movies relaxing after a hard day playing in the snow!

Jackson pushing Anthony....battery is dead on the tractor. Jackson is such a great friend!!
Having fun in the snow

Time for a little joy ride on the tractor before the battery looses all it's power.

Anthony loves to ride his tractor....this was our first snow since we've moved to Starkville

Anthony and Jackson on the sled Kevin made. Anthony laughed the entire time - even after they tipped over - all he could do was laugh.

Happy 15th Birthday Dixie

Dixie is 15 years old today!!

Wow, Tony and I were talking last night that it seems like she should only be 7 or 8 not 15 that's crazy. We both still remember the night we picked her up - we actually went to pick out a yellow male lab and the owners of the facility let out this chocolate female lab that was the last of the litter and ready to go - the yellow lab puppies were only 2 weeks old and most had not even open there eyes yet which made it hard to pick one out but we went inside the house to put our deposit down on one of the puppies. Well the little chocolate lab followed us inside the house and just kept looking up and us just sitting there so still so of course we said we will just take this one - we didn't even have all the money to pay for her we left the deposit and mailed the rest to them. Dixie as we named her has been with us ever since - always by our side and now by Anthony's side.

Happy Birthday Dixe and Happy New Year!!!

Christmas 2010 Videos

Shopping at Scruggs in Tupelo - Anthony loved looking at all the tractors and mowers.

We just pulled up to the shop where Anthony got to ride on the John Deere tractor - he was so excited if you listen you can hear him say I want to ride that!

Anthony Driving

Opening Presents in Osceola - the first present he opened was from my Aunt Yvonne and Uncle Gordon and that was all he wanted to play with - he looked and opened a few others but wanted those trucks.

More Presents

Camden Christmas - old Farmall tractor that Tony's Papaw purchased in the middle to late 60's.

It was too wild to get any pictures Christmas Eve - beside the fact that Aunt Carol gave all the kids candy with money and that was all Anthony could focus on was the candy - although he did open a few - this video was taken Christmas morning opening Santa's gifts.

Christmas 2010

Here we are at Jackson's "Jack Jack" house exchanging gifts before leaving town. Anthony can say Jackson now but still calls him Jack Jack.
Christmas shopping in Tupelo after seeing Santa - had to ride on the mowers in Sears before we left.
Of course we can't go to Osceola without visiting our friend Lee at the Liquor store - Anthony fits right in and he loves to go into the cooler.

Anthony got to ride on in a real John Deere tractor - everyone knows how much he loves tractors so while we were in Osceola one of my parents friends took Anthony for a ride - when we pulled up he was so excited and started saying "I wanta ride it"!!

Tony stopped in and let Anthony look at some motorcycles and 4-wheelers while doing a little pre-Christmas shopping. From the look on his face he would love to have one!

Osceola - my cousin Rita with Mallory and Anthony in her lap.
Camden - Uncle Phil showing Anthony his bull

Christmas at Doc and Teresa's house - the decorations were beautiful you did a great job Teresa and look at all of those presents!!

Wow!! Uncle Ricky and Aunt Cindy handed down this old tractor that Tony's Papaw bought years and years ago for the great grand kids and Anthony loves it!!

We have had the best Christmas that we can remember this year! Anthony is really growing up he was talking and asking about Santa Claus. Asking us "Where's Claus" "Where Presents" all the time. He has even gotten into watching a few videos these last couple of months. Before he would only watch John Deere videos but we have found a few that he loves. First we started watching Open Season - ha Anthony keeps calling the hunter in the movie Uncle Phil (Tony's Brother) it's so funny - he really does resemble Phil. He called this movie the Funny Bear when he wanted to watch the movie. The second movie was Madagascar - he called this the Lion but the movie he has watch over and over and over again is "THE BOY" - The Christmas Story!! " I watch the boy" I know every line. This is the movie where the little boy gets a BB gun and he just laughs and laughs through the entire movie. Tony said last night that we will always remember this Christmas whenever we see any of those movies and I believe it!

Anthony did really good traveling and visiting with everyone and most days not getting a nap - he would crash out finally when we made him go to bed - he just wanted to play with everyone, especially his cousins.
I hope everyone had a Blessed Christmas and that we all remembered the true meaning of Christmas!
Best of Luck and Happiness to all in 2011!!

Random pictures

Here are a few pictures since my last update.

Here is Anthony eating Pappy's breakfast. He would not eat for me but crawled in my dad's lap and ate almost all of his food.

Here is Anthony and our neighbor Belle. We just put together Anthony's new table he got as an early Christmas from Pappy and KK and they wanted to have a snack.

Cold and Rainy time to play inside.

Here is Anthony and Carol laughing and playing. Anthony kept getting in her chair and would tell her to move over - "sit right here"!

Not sure if I posted this Anthony flipped his tractor over - luckily Tony and I were right there and caught him but Tony grabbed the tractor so it wouldn't fall on him and ripped the hood off - now we have a bungee cord keeping the hood on. Doesn't bother him in the least bit.

The Cold does not stop us from riding the tractor

Thanksgiving

Anthony playing with Mallory and Will a couple of days before Thanksgiving.

My oh My - where did the month of November go. We had a wonderful Thanksgiving with my family. Tony had to work so he stayed in Starkville - we all missed him.

My best friend Mischele and I met in Memphis at Tony's Aunt Carol's house Thursday night and started our Black Friday shopping adventure outside in the rain waiting to get into Toys R Us at 8:30 Thanksgiving night. We made several stops on our midnight adventure and ended back at Carols around 6:30 Friday morning! My mom and Carol kept Anthony - or really he kept them and us all entertained. My mom brought a pirate that sings and dances and Anthony played with that all weekend long.
Anthony is really talking now and will repeat anything that you say. Getting ready for Christmas Anthony is really getting into the spirit! HA he keeps asking where's Claus and then he says PRESENTS!!
