Happy Birthday Gamma K 10/27/08

Anthony wanted to say Happy Birthday to his Gamma K. He can't wait to see you in a couple of weeks!Just swinging in the afternoon.

Anthony just finished his afternoon bottle - just about asleep.
This video is from this morning - Anthony just woke up - time for diaper change and breakfast!

Anthony just started making this new sound - It sounds like a pirate to me arrrgh! Maybe he is saying:

HAPPY BIRTHDAY GAMMA K!

You would have had to be there to understand the entire story behind being a Sheriff and the humor in it. Several of us took a trip to Fort Worth while I was pregnant and my Dad had on his cowboy hat and a Sheriff badge - he looked like the real deal - well you better watch out Pappy because there is a new Sheriff in town! :)

We hope you had a great Birthday Gamma K! Wish we could have been there to help you celebrate. We love you.

Happy Birthday Papaw Doc 10/24/08

Sorry for not updating the blog site last week - it took me all week to pack up everything that Anthony would need for the weekend trip to Camden. Believe it or not I didn't forget anything - plenty of diapers, wipes, bottles and formula were the main items!

Happy Birthday Papaw Doc! I have lots of pictures of everyone. One thing I don't see is a picture of Anthony without someone holding him - can you image that!

Of course I have to have pictures of my first child Dixie - riding in the back side beside Anthony.

Dixie watching Anthony sleep in the car on the way home.

Nanny, Tony and Anthony

Mamaw Teresa holding Anthony before we headed out on Sunday.

Uncle Phil, Cousin Sydni and Anthony

Anthony has a little way to go before his hands get as big as his Uncle Phil's.

Phil Rocconi I told you NOT to teach your nephew to pull your finger!

Cousin Sydni feeding Anthony.

Grandkids singing Happy Birthday to Papaw!

Bad to the Bone! Papaw Doc got to ride on a Harley Motorcycle for his birthday - chaps and all!

Tony and Aunt Cindy holding Anthony or as Cindy calls him A.J.

Cousin Bryce on the back having a great time
Dixie is so tired - she tried to eat everything in sight. Of course Papaw Doc was right there feeding her anything and everything she wanted.

Oh my, the boys had so much fun playing in the big sand pile. I bet they are still trying to get all the sand off of them.

Mischele and Hershel
Phil, Brian and Doc.
Aunt Melissa with her mother

Evonne and Olivia - so cute in her camo!
Nanny and Anthony in his camo.

Had to get a picture of this - Cousin Paisli holding Anthony - she really didn't have a choice I put him in her arms so I could get a picture and see Paisli you did great holding him.

Sydni holding Anthony again - I'm not sure who held him more it was a battle between Sydni, Mischele, Cindy and Teresa!
I told you. Here is Aunt Cindy with Anthony yet again.

Cousin Britt

We hope you had a great birthday Papaw Doc! We are so glad we were able to come for your birthday party.

Teresa holding Anthony again. He looks like he is just about sound asleep!
We had such a great visit with everyone. Anthony did so good he made it the entire car trip back without us having to stop and feed him. He was so tired. As we were pulling on our road he woke up and boy was he hungry! Hope to see you all again soon.

Visit to the Urologist

Yes we just went to the Nephrologist on Friday and today we went to the Urologist. It's hard to keep up.

Great news! The ultrasound of the kidney showed that it is enlarged (which will always be that way because he only has the one) but the Ureter is not as dilated as it was, which is great!! We still have the issue with the valve not working properly causing the reflux but Rocc will remain on antibiotics to help with any potential infections - which is KEY to keeping him healthy and the kidney functioning (we don't want to cause any more damage to the kidney he does have). The doctor is changing the type of antibiotics he is taking and does not need to see us back for 6 months.

That's 3 months for the Nephrologist and 6 months for the Urologist! They are so amazed and pleased with his progress and of course so are we.

What a Great Weekend!!!

What a busy and great weekend we had! Friday we went out to dinner, Saturday we had visitors, Saturday night we attended a baby shower and Sunday we went out to lunch, shopping, grocery store and sat outside all afternoon and watched Tony grill out while we talked and laughed and watched Rocc swing. It was such an amazing day - Tony gets so little time without the phone ringing and/or a horse that needs treating.

Rocc playing on his mat after our shopping trip on Sunday. He is starting to be more alert and focusing on more objects. He likes looking up at the fan right now.
Here I am tickling his belly - we had a little tummy time and I was trying to get him back in a good mood.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Saturday night we went to a baby shower for Heather and Travis and had a really nice time. Anthony was so good!

Look at us -out and about. How brave and proud of us we are!

Of course - Rocc is always eating!!
Anthony is already making friends!
Barb you look really comfortable - don't you live really close to us? Need a second job?
Shelly and Tiffany with Anthony. Shelly did a great job keeping Rocc awake and happy at the same time. He really liked the lights that were hanging from the ceiling.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Saturday morning I received a call from a family friend from Lake Village, AR, Tutie Mencer and Angela Hatch. They were in Texas visiting Kelly and wanted to come and see Anthony. We had a great visit - it has been a long time since we have seen the Mencer's. Kelly's son Brandon went with Tony on a call while the girls stayed behind and visited and played with Rocc.

This is a great picture of Courtney and Anthony. Tony kept trying to talk Courtney into babysitting.

We really enjoyed the visit and we hope you had a safe trip back home. Come back and see us any time.

Vist to the Nephrologist

Tony and I took Anthony to the Nephrologist today and in a weeks time he has gained 9 ounces.

The Rocc is currently weighing in at 9 pounds and 10 ounces.

The Doctor had nothing but positive things to say about Rocc's progress. He doesn't need to see us back until January and at that time we will have his blood work updated as well as an updated ultrasound to see how the kidney has progressed.

Thanks again for all the thoughts and prayers.

BATH TIME

Shark Man!! Looks like we are having a good time.
Anthony loves taking a bath - except for washing his hair and face.
