Hot Springs Arkansas

Tony had to speak at the Arkansas Veterinary Winter Meeting in Hot Springs, AR. While Tony went to a few talks and finished preparing his (making sure the PowerPoint presentation was going to work!) Anthony and I got to visit with Maw, Carol, Pappy and Grandma KK.

We all enjoyed an afternoon at Oaklawn Park!



And as always it's fun to visit!

We had a great time and glad we were able to come with Tony. Anthony enjoyed getting to swim in the indoor pool at the hotel. In fact since we have been back home he keeps telling me that it's hot outside and time to get in the pool...not yet! I see swim lessons this summer!!

Aunt Carol's house looks fantastic with the new renovations! Also thank you Carol for the great supper and for letting us crash and visit at your house!

I have not been really good about pictures lately in fact if it was not for Maw I wouldn't have these. :) I'm going to work on that!

The Potty Cont....

Thank you Thank you for all of you who are out there praying for us!! We are doing really good with the potty...still have to tell him every couple of hours that we need to go...and he does so can't complain. He has even told me and Tony a couple of times that he needs to go...so I'm praying that he keeps this up and we move from pull-ups to real underwear.

He has had a couple of accidents but for the most part is only going in the potty!!

Thank you LORD!

Potty Time ?!?!?!

Ok, well here we go......I've been ready for a long time now but Anthony just would not have anything to do with the potty..I have tried and tried to get him interested! He had a cool potty of his own, promise of toys, etc you name it. So now that Christmas is over and we are back in our routine I decide we need to get going somewhere with this. We take a trip to Wal-Mart buy the pull-ups and a special seat to put on our toilet all his own!

Day One....woke up dry said lets go to the potty he says not yet! I say yes....well guess what he did it and was so proud of himself that he could actually pee pee in the potty!!

Well I've bought a lot of toys from the dollar store and if we actually go we get something and if we just sit then we get something small...cookies, sucker, etc.

Still holding pretty good...over a week later...but I am worn out...have to keep asking and trying and he does go eventually but really does not care if he does go or not! Has not said mommy I need to pee pee or anything like that! I'm hoping that if I can keep this up that maybe he will! This is really hard....he is just so busy and does not want to take the time to do it...it is just not important to him!!

We have also been working on him dressing himself and that has helped more than I realized because he is feeling more and more independent now and CAN do things by himself! He can put on his pull-ups and his pants by himself! So just maybe all of this will come together soon rather than later!

I hope to be able to report back soon!

Christmas 2011

Merry Christmas... we started out our Christmas week in Camden.....we did not make it in time to open presents with everyone but when we got there Anthony WAS ready....so we opened presents and visited with Papaw, Maw and Aunt Carol until 1:00...yes AM!

Anthony always wakes up around 7:00 most of the time even if he stays up later than normal. Well Christmas morning Tony and I were just laying in bed waiting for Anthony to wake up! We were just as excited to see what Santa brought! Tony finally decided he would wake him up because it was almost 8:00!

Well I believe Anthony was glad we got him up!

Anthony at 3

Better late then never...took Anthony a few weeks ago to Sears for some recent pictures and one with him by the number 3.

I thought they turned out really good! Still hard to believe that he is 3! We love and cherish so many things that he does and says right now....

1. When he is thinking really hard and telling a story or talking to himself he says cuz a....cuz a.....cuz a ....then whatever it is he was thinking.

2. I'm gonna get on your head.....(literally he gets on your head) when it's time to wrestle with DaDa or Mommy.

3. When he says I Love You very much!

4. When he says... sound like a deal? When he is trying to get his way and agrees to one thing so he can get when he wants.

5. His blanket that he loves and calls it FiFi!

6. We all still miss Dixie very much and it's so sweet when he says I miss Dixie and wish she could come back home....and that he knows that Dixie is in Heaven.

7. I Love that he is so friendly and really outgoing!

8. I Love that he is a total boy that loves tractors and loves to be dirty!

9. I Love hearing him say Good Morning! Even if it's in the afternoon after his nap!

10. I Love it when he says What you talking about momma or what'd they say? When he doesn't understand the conversation.

11. He loves for me to tickle him and I love to hear him say tit tule (tickle) me momma.

12. I Love how he can make me smile at all the funny and sweet things that he says and does!

Just a few of the things that make Anthony so special! Thank you Lord for blessing Tony and I with this child!!

We went to the Wildlife Refuge today and made some crafts at their workshop then we walked the trails and had a pinic!

Getting ready for Christmas!

We went to see Santa Clause last night. Anthony jumps up in his lap and says.....I want a BB gun!

He has been telling me that he was going to ask Santa for gun....I didn't know it was a BB gun! Santa said he wasn't too sure if he was old enough for a BB gun.....but he would see what he could do!
