October 2014
Well October has flown! Tony and I went to the FAEP Meeting in Hilton Head, SC. We had such a great time. I relaxed by the pool and beach and read books the entire time while Tony attended his meetings. At night we got to catch up with some of our friends from Ocala that we haven't seen in awhile. My parents kept the boys for us - Anthony had alot going on with his Tae Kon Do, Scoccer practice and game, sight word test, school pictures, scoccer pictures, fall festival at our church, etc. Wow, my mom did a great job keeping up with all of that and all of the farm animals as well as taking care of Austin not to mention my Dad...he has not been feeling his self for awhile and was planning a complete check-up when they got back! Well, he did - the day after they got back he got really sick and ended up in the ICU for a week. He is doing much better now - but still has a long rode ahead to get his strength back.
This past Friday, Anthony tested for his Gold belt. Tony and I were so nervous for him. It was tough but he did it - we are so proud for him.
This week we are getting ready for Halloween on Friday and the Fall Festival - fund raiser for our school - on Saturday.
Somewhere in all of that Austin turned 10 months - still trying to walk - so so close! Still only has two bottom teeth but that does not stop him from wanting to eat! If you are eating - then he wants to eat it as well. He can really mash food up with those gums - determination!!
Last Friday Austin and I also joined Anthony for his school field trip to the Pumpkin Patch. He had a great time - I love watching him play and interact with his classmates.
Here are a few of the pictures:

Check-ups
I took Anthony for his 6 year checkup on Tuesday. He got a great physical - scored 20/20 on his vision and his hearing test. He did have a little trouble hearing out of one eat but it wasn't consistent so after a couple of tries he passed. I think it was a lot going on and he may not have been paying attention. He weighs 43.8 lbs and is 46 inches. That puts him in the 40% for weight and 60% for height.
While we were there we also got Austin's 9 month check up (a few weeks early but hey we were there!). He now weighs 17.2 lbs and is 27.3 inches. That puts him in the 14% for weight and 17% for height. So maybe not the tallest kid but of course I'm not either! He got an excellent report -need to encourage words and talking he still just oohs agh sand a couple other mumbles with his mouth closed. If he continues we will probable retest his hearing (passed hearing test at birth). He is very active and always looking watching everything around. Wants to eat anything and is walking around the coffee talking while holding in a few steps around.
That night we went to the schools PTO meeting and Tony came and picked the boys up so I could finish the meeting.
Wednesday, Anthony had his first soccer practice and I think he enjoyed it but it was extremely HOT! It was 100 at 5:30! Thursday, we drove to Sherman for Anthony's Karate lesson since we missed Tuesday night. After class we went and picked out his cleats for soccer and a new ball to practice with at home. On the way home Anthony said I'm worn out! I don't believe he has ever said that. But we all were!
Tony was able to go with us I'm so glad it was close to 9 before we got home.
Friday after I picked Anthony up from school we just hung out around the house played with the puppies and took care of the horses. Frozen pizza and a movie on the couch for supper!!
Saturday we played around for a bit. Cleaned, etc. Tony saddled up Lightning and took Anthony around. We went to church last night then out to supper at Ernesto's.
Tony took Anthony this morning to Sunday School and is running to the clinic to check on everything. Austin is napping now so a quick update of out week!

August
Since Austin's baptism -it has been a blur! Really...again! I celebrated my 40th birthday! I survived. Our great friends Trish and Seth kept the boys while Tony and I went out to a really nice restaurant in Denton and had a great meal. We laughed and talked it was really a nice night out - just the two of us - we don't do it enough.
Enough about me - Austin celebrated his 8 month birthday - he has two front bottom teeth - can sit and stand (while holding onto something) and is trying to take some steps around the coffee table. He still doesn't make many different sounds but hoping that comes soon. Loves almost everything I have feed him and wants to eat what we are eating! Super cute of course and usually in the best of moods.
The week before school started Tony took the day off and we all went to Hurricane Harbor waterpark. Had a great time together - Austin enjoyed the lazy river and then the stroller for a nap!
Anthony started Kindergarten - praying for a great school year.
Labor Day weekend! We packed up and headed to Hot Springs, AR where we celebrate in style at Aunt Carol's wonderful house with the million dollar view! I counted 52 people but maybe more if I missed someone. We started getting together as a family when Anthony turned 1. With the problems we faced with Anthony's health and how well he did that first year with absolutely no problems at all and thank God still no problems to this day we just wanted to get everyone together so we could celebrate life! It has grown and grown every year and I believe this was the biggest yet - it's now a huge friends and family reunion! It was a blast and all the kids seemed to have a great time and all got along very well.
Anthony's 6th birthday at school the teacher gave him some goodies and a hat - Austin and I went and had lunch with him and that night he had Karate lessons and his choice of dinner - McDonalds :(. This past saturday we had a few of Anthony's friends over and had a pokemon birthday party. Tony set up a huge homemade slip and slide - cooked hot dogs, chips, watermelon and cupcakes! All the boys had a great time between riding the 4wheeler - slip n slide - trampoline - and pool!
Now for picture overload! And I think I'm caught up!
