Anthony and Dixie Fighting over a Toy Monkey

Jennifer brought this to Anthony when she came to visit. I had it put back so Dixie wouldn't tear it up when I wasn't watching well guess what - Dixie got it and was having a blast - when Anthony saw her playing with it he decided that he wanted to play. They played really good together. Dixie is the best dog ever!!

New Trick

Dirt

If anybody has ever been to my house and can remember the huge plant I had in this planter - well I got that plant while Tony was still in Vet School - it kept growing and growing - I can't tell you how many times I have re potted the plant as well as moving it from Mississippi to Louisiana to Florida and to Texas. Just the other day I went to cut off some of the old branches and when I moved the base of the plant the entire thing just fell over. I guess the roots had dry rotted or something. I was so sad it has made it all these years! I needed Tony to help me carry it outside to dump the dirt out and a couple of days went by and guess what it's coming back to life. I have one small leaf!!! Anthony never noticed the plant or played with it before but now if you put him down - he goes straight to it!!! Playing in the dirt - Tony always said he hoped Anthony would like to play in the dirt - well guess what......HE DOES!!!

Velcro

We were playing in the floor with several toys and I pulled on the velcro strap and Anthony just thought that was the funniest thing. He was laughing so hard and of course had us laughing.

Our 12th Wedding Anniversary!

Tony and I celebrated our 12th wedding anniversary on Sunday. We had a great weekend!! Tony and I went out to dinner Saturday night. Sunday we took Anthony out to the lake for the first time - of course he loved it - anything to do with water. He did not like wearing his life jacket -it doesn't fit him. It states it fits 0 - 50 pounds but it fits too tight around the neck. Here are a few pictures from this weekend.

Nephrologist

We went to the Nephrologist on Wednesday for a check-up. He was really pleased with his growth! That is the first sign that the kidney may not be working properly - it effects their height. He told us that there is a medication that he will probably start him on when he turns 1. It is actually for high blood pressure but it helps the kidney work better - basically tells the kidney that it doesn't have to work overtime trying to compensate for only having the one. His blood work was great and will we continue to monitor.

I can't say it enough - THANK YOU for all the continued thoughts and prayers - he is a miracle of God and we are truly blessed!!

Sippy Cup

I have been giving Anthony a sippy cup every now and then to try. He usually ends up chewing on it - he will drink some but mostly plays with it and of course thinks he is too funny! You just can't help but laugh - I know we probably should not - but just listen to that laugh!!!

Jennifer's Visit

Jennifer, my best friend from High School came to visit this past weekend. We had a great time - getting caught up on current events in our lives and most importantly she finally got to meet Anthony in person!! We ate some good food - went shopping - played in the pool - we had a big time!

Anthony is standing up ALL the time now - if you put him down he will find something to pull himself up with and if you are close by he will use your leg to pull himself up!

Pool time - JJ thinks we may have another Jason Phelps on our hands - he wants to be all the way in and for you to let go - NO WAY!
